My journey into politics didn’t follow a traditional path. I immigrated to the United States from Senegal at the age of 15 and eventually made Kentucky my home. As a working-class
immigrant, I have experienced the challenges that many families face and the opportunities that make this country worth fighting for. While working multiple jobs and relying on student loans, I earned degrees in finance, business, and healthcare management. I built a career in the airline industry, which not only broadened my perspective but also gave me the time and flexibility to volunteer, organize, and advocate for human rights both locally and globally.
Faith, hard work, and community are at the heart of who I am. As a proud Kentuckian and
practicing Muslim, my values are rooted in service, fairness, and compassion. I believe politics
should be about improving lives, not serving political agendas or corporate donors.
No matter your background, beliefs, or political views, I will work to represent everyone in our
community with respect and dedication.
I am running for Congress because Kentuckians deserve leadership that listens, understands, and
puts people first.
For too long, politics has been dominated by special interests and divided by partisanship. Too
many elected officials are disconnected from the everyday realities of working families. I have
seen the consequences of a system that fails to deliver on basic needs like healthcare, education,
public safety, and economic stability.
Kentuckians deserve more than empty promises. We need bold, honest action on affordable
healthcare, strong public schools, fair wages, and safe, thriving communities. We deserve a
government that reflects the people it serves, not the corporations that fund it.
That is why I am running as an independent. I have refused corporate PAC money because I
believe campaigns should be powered by people, not profits. This campaign is about putting our
communities first and creating real, lasting progress.
I believe in a Kentucky where every voice is valued and no one is left behind because of who
they are, where they come from, or what they believe. I am not running to serve a party or
special interest. I am running to serve the people of Kentucky.
